The cornerstone of The Itgel Foundation’s activities is the implementation of grassroots projects that contribute to sustainable development and the protection of Mongolia’s cultural and environmental legacy. Our projects span the fields of health, agriculture, livelihoods, environment, education, human rights/social justice, and cultural preservation, reflecting our holistic approach to sustainable, community development. Research & Publications
- Cutting-edge research in partnership with leading scientific institutions, international experts, and public sector agencies.
- Publication of research results in peer-reviewed journals and in reports oriented towards policymakers.
- Publications and contributions in popular media including travel guides, documentary films, and journalistic outlets.
Participation in Conferences & Events
- Sponsorship of cultural events that contribute to the preservation of Mongolian artistic traditions.
- Attendance and presentations at scientific and professional conferences.
- Participation in speaker series, academic lectures, festivals, and other events.
Partnerships & Exchanges
- Facilitation of exchanges between Mongolian and international scientists for the purpose of professional capacity building and knowledge exchange.
- Partnerships with international NGOs, donor agencies, private and public sector organizations for the purpose of mutual advising, replication and scaling of project activities, and policy reform activities.
- Active member of professional associations including the Mongolian National Tourism Organization (MNTO) and the Reindeer Owner’s and Breeder’s Association (ROBA).
